Veteran’s Memorial Event Lawn
Eight symbolic trees, commemorating eight conflicts beginning with the French and Indian and Revolutionary Wars, have been planted in a 300 foot circle which outlines the Veteran’s Memorial Event Lawn. Each tree was chosen for its specific relationship to that war or conflict. Plaques at the base of each tree tell the amazing story.
Pollinator Garden
A Pollinator Garden marks the location of the annual Memorial Day service held at Sandyvale every May since 1886. The Garden is maintained and planted each year by Cambria County Master Gardener Jessica Crum-Lasko.
